Founded by Eric PAPIN, Alternative Feng Shui is a consultancy that harmonizes interiors using the principles of Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese science.
“Promoting the well-being, health and prosperity of a space’s occupants”
As a child, Eric Papin would regularly rearrange the furniture in his bedroom, and even in the living room. This inclination to organize his indoor environment to feel at ease stayed with him and took a new turn when he discovered Feng shui. “It is an ancient art of Chinese origin that aims to harmonize the environmental energy of a space in order to promote the well-being, health and prosperity of its occupants,” he explains. He then trained with a Feng shui master recognized by Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, before spending a few weeks in the Land of the Rising Sun to perfect his training. He finally launched Alternative Feng shui, practicing Feng shui in Biarritz and the south-west of France, as well as throughout France and abroad, using video conferencing.
A sense of well-being through precise adjustments
Once these assessments have been carried out, the Feng shui practitioner suggests precise adjustments to the layout of outdoor spaces (garden, grounds), and to the positioning and design of a building (during the design phase). This may also involve choosing specific shapes, colors or textures for the interior, moving furniture or adding elements. “The aim isn’t to tear everything down. These are specific, precise adjustments in specific locations to rebalance, unblock and activate favorable energies, whilst reducing unfavorable ones,” adds the founder of Alternative Feng Shui. As a result, the home’s occupants will be more in harmony with their surroundings, leading to a greatly enhanced sense of well-being. Eric Papin also tailors his services to professionals seeking to boost profitability.
Alternative Feng Shui is therefore a vehicle for well-being and energetic harmony. Eric Papin is now exploring partnerships with architects, interior designers and architecture schools to raise awareness of the principles of this art.
